Shirley Lorraine Gaynor of Plain City, Ohio, passed away December 15 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio after an unexpected illness. She was born October 24, 1937 in Newcomerstown, Ohio to William and Mildred (Jaynes) Neal. Shirley is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Gaynor. She is survived by her daughter, Brenda (Mark) George, of Marysville, Ohio and son, Brent Spaulding of Marysville, Ohio and her niece, Teresa (Phil) Diers of Howard Lake, Minnesota. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She is a member of Jacob’s Well Church in Marysville, Ohio. She started a housecleaning business, which now extends to four generations. She is loved by many friends and neighbors and all who knew her. She is known for the classy way she has always dressed, her beautiful hats from Mackinac Island, Michigan, her love for others, her cheerful disposition, her ability to brighten anyone’s day, her integrity and passion for life, her hugs, and most of all, her dynamic faith. She read her Bible faithfully and read Psalm 91 over her family and friends every day. Her greatest aim was to share her faith with others. Shirley’s family will receive friends at Ferguson Funeral Home 202 East Main Street, Plain City, Ohio 43064-1206 Sunday, December, 20, from 4 to 6 PM. The funeral will be Monday, December 21 at 10:00 AM Jacob’s Well Church, 10910 US 42, Marysville, Ohio 43040 with Pastor Mike Roehrenbeck officiating.
