Sara R. Petznick died peacefully at Dublin Methodist Hospital on January 21, 2023 after a courageous battle from colon cancer and Covid pneumonia.
Born in Monroe, Michigan on August 23, 1942 to James L. and Dorothy J. Robinson.
Preceded in death by parents; sisters: Kitty, Shirley, and Judy; and “was” husband George Petznick.
Survived by daughter Trina Stone of Hilliard and grandsons: Eric (Shuree) Day of Bentonville, AZ, Ryan Day of Hilliard, and Adam (Amanda) Stone of Hilliard.
Sara retired from OSU after 31 years of service. She was active in DAC (Old Trails Chapter), bridge club, and Plain City Presbyterian Church.
A memorial service will be held at Ferguson Funeral Home Plain City at a later date.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Pastor Alice Phillips for her unwavering support.
