Bonnie "Booper" Mitchell-Cantrell left a message on October 7, 2020:
Gary, Rodger and family, There are not enough words for me to write to say how sorry I am at the passing of Ruthie. You will never know the impact she and your Dad had on me while working at the EQ. She taught me how to work with grace and loyalty. How to work with people who were not my cup of tea and be polite no mater what. How to count which I still use every day. Every day I worked with her was a treat. She showed me that it was ok to make mistakes just not to make them over and over. Ruthie was the consummate professional to all of us girls and demanded the same in return. I’m not sure if it was her or your dad who had us wearing the dresses and hose however, it taught us that you had to be a step above the rest if you wanted the job at the EQ. It was the place to work in High School and I have so many memories that this page is not long enough to write them all. I cherished the friendship I build with my first Managers, they taught me things I still sue in my work life today. Ruthie was one in a million and I know you guys and all the family will miss her terribly. She is in heaven now arranging every flow she can get her hands on and making sure everything is straight and in order. I loved her dearly. My condolences to all of you. Boober
