Mr. Yutzy assisted me in entering Radiology School in Lancaster when I was an X-ray Orderly for his department. After graduating in two years he immediately hired me as a Tech at Doctors Hospital . I then became the Manger there for over 30+ years replacing Mel and Jim McMurray. I am sorry for your lose and will be forever grateful for what your Father/Brother/Grandparent did for a young man many years ago who had no career goals after graduating from high school.
David Brock left a message on March 8, 2021:
I lived next door to Melvin and Wilma for several years. He was a great friend and neighbor. He was always smiling, optimistic, and kind.
Rachel Faerber left a message on March 8, 2021:
I got to know Mel about 30 years ago when I was a summer orderly at Doctors West. He made a big impression on me; I remember what a kind, energetic boss he was, and I remember how he took the time to talk to the X-ray patients when they were worried or distressed. It’s fair to say he made the world a better place.

I had the honor of working with Melvin at Doctors West in the late 60’s and early 70’s, when I worked in the Emergency Department. He was kind and caring with everyone, and a master at his job. We all loved him.
Loretta Miller Smith left a message on March 7, 2021:
My thoughts and prayers are with you children and your families as you are grieving. I loved both your parents and have many good memories of them. I had a nice visit with your dad just before the covid shut down. He talked about your mother and what a good person she was and also enjoyed bragging about his children. He loved the Lord and is with Him now. He is home!
