JERRY D. MAY age 70 of Plain City went home to be with the Lord Jesus Christ on November 28, 2018 at his residence. Born August 24, 1948 in Salyersville, Kentucky.
Jerry graduated from Jonathan Alder High School in 1967 and Ohio University in 1971. He then enlisted in the Ohio National Guard and became an Army Medic 1971- 1978. Jerry worked for the Ohio Company for many years. Member of the Plain City VFW Darby Post #3268 and Plain City Historical Society. Jerry served as a board member for Jonathan Alder High School and was the founder of the Jonathan Alder Education Foundation.
Survived by his wife of 47 years: Kathy (Napier) May; children: Jeramy May, Jaime May; daughter-in-law: Krista Fox May; grandchildren: Kimberly, Ashley, Jordan and Alexis May; mother-in-law: Wanda Napier, brother-in-law: Roy (Peggy) Napier; sister-in-law: Katherine (JR) Smith; nieces and nephews: Debbie, Diana, Sara, Michael Smith, Brandon, Shawn, Chris, Craig and Dustin Napier.
Preceded in death by his parents: John Carson & Zelma (Watson) May; father-in-law: William J. Napier; brother-in-law: Marvin Napier.
The family will receive friends 1 – 4 PM Saturday December 1, 2018 and 2 – 5 PM Sunday December 2, 2018 at the Ferguson Funeral Home, 202 E. Main Street (St, Rt. 161W) Plain City where the funeral will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, December 3, 2018 with Pastor Dennis Griffin officiating and burial Forest Grove Cemetery, with full Military Honors conducted by the Union County Honor Guard.
