I am Leo Young's oldest child and we moved into our new home beside the old cemetery on So Chillicothe St when I was 3 in the Fall of 1946. Jane and Eldon go back to the very beginning in my early memories and I have always loved them and would be so happy to see them in a store and take a moment to visit. As much as I've loved them, I don't remember ever having been inside their home until May 2007. We stopped by to say hello and once they knew who I was, they eagerly welcomed us into their home. It was like going back in time, the years fell away and I was a little girl again. What a thrill to see them and we laughed and talked and visited and enjoyed our sweet moment in time. They shared you children and grand children with us in pictures with so much pride. It's so sad, how we can love our neighbors so much, but can't seem to manage to stay in touch... I was devastated when I checked my Ferguson Funeral Home site and found that my sweet friend and neighbor, Jane, had passed the day before and then was deeply shocked as I read her obituary that Eldon had already died the year before in 2008! I had no idea and felt such a painful lose. They were both fine in 2007 when we last saw them. So thankful we took the time to stop and visit when we did because life is like truly a vapor and time waits for no one. I'm sorry for you children and grand children, I know you will be lost without them, but you will see them again one day... they will be waiting for all of you. My prayers are with you.
