Howard and I were good friends in high school, hanging out together playing pool, chess, basketball. I remember when he got his first car and how much he took care of it. We rode in it together to school our senior year. He was a great friend. Will miss him.

Julie Mitchell left a message on October 15, 2021:
I am so sorry for your loss. I met Bud through his ministry at Grace Polaris. The Lord orchestrated my attending a class he led there, as later in my family's life He knew that we would need Bud for another reason. He counseled someone precious to me through a very difficult spiritual journey, and I truly credit the Lord for pointing us to Bud for help. I will never forget his gentle, challenging way that he guided us through. I know that he helped so many others in this often difficult life. For his willingness to be used in this capacity, I will be eternally grateful. May God bless you as you adjust to life without Bud here, but know that the gift of him will live on in those that knew him, until we see him again. God bless each of you.
