FARREL L. CRAGO
age 82 of Plain City, went to be with his Lord Tuesday evening September 22, 2009,
Dublin Methodist Hospital after an extended illness. Born December 5, 1926 in Frankfort, Ohio to the late Percie Neal & Laura (Free) Crago.
Farrel enjoyed life and many opportunities but especially loved researching and tracing his ancestry which enriched his life with many new relationships and new found family members. In 1979 he wrote and published a book about his genealogy.
He also treasured his membership at the Plain City United Methodist Church where each Sunday he greeted and shook hands with everyone who attended.
Farrel’s greatest love was his family, which includes his wife of 61 years, Ellen (Starbuck) Crago whom he married on June 15, 1948;
sons,David (Camille) Crago of Marysville and Steven (Louise) Crago of Clarksville; grandchildren, Clinton (Mandi) Crago of MT, Scott (Erika)Crago of FL, Mark (Jennifer) Crago of MT, Neal (Christine)Crago of IL, Abigail (Austin) Morgan of NC, Michael Crago of Clarksville; 3 great grandchildren, Max Morgan, Gage Crago and grandpa’s special nurse, Alyssa Crago.
Farrel was one of nine siblings and is survived by Thelma Putnam of Piqua, Kenneth (Virginia) Crago, Mervin (Donna) Crago all of Frankfort
numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may call 1-3 & 6-8 PM Friday at Ferguson Funeral Home, 202 E. Main St. (St Rt 161 W) Plain City. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Saturday, September 26, 2009 at Plain City United Methodist Church, 202 N. Chillicothe Street, Plain City, Ohio 43064. Burial 2 PM Saturday at Sugar Grove Cemetery in Wilmington, Ohio.
