Douglas P. McNamara, age 63 of Sunbury passed away unexpectedly Sunday December 12, 2021 in his home. He was born August 2, 1958 in Grant Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.
Doug was a graduate of Big Walnut High School and was currently working for the Medallion Club in Westerville. He enjoyed being outdoors, fishing at Hoover Damn and Alum Creek.
Doug will be dearly missed by his devoted wife of 29 years, Deanna L. (Harrell) McNamara whom he married on September 4, 1992 and their dog, Buckeye; brothers, Gary (Tanya) Young, Robert (Mary) McNamara and a dear family friend, John Groves; nieces and nephews.
Doug was preceded in death by his parents, Robert E. and Ruth Ann (Saulsbury) McNamara and a brother, Steven McNamara.
A memorial service will be held at 6 PM Friday, December 17, 2021 at the Chapel of Liberty Presbyterian Church, 7080 Olentangy River Rd, Delaware, OH 43015.
