As a young Plain City athlete, Don was larger than life, with an ability to excel at any sport he tried. I played on several basketball teams with him at Jonathan Alder. When he set a pick on you, you felt it! He smiled easily and had an incredible capacity for having fun. Donnie, say hello to Reggie, Phil, Chuck, Ron, Brian, and the others for me. We'll have to get up a game for old times sake!

Donny had a zest for life. Conversations with him were lively, and I always knew where he stood on issues. The first time I saw Donnie was in elementary school when the high school band gave a concert - Donnie played percussion; it's a fun memory. As the only sibling to my brother-in-law, Donnie was a clear extended member of our family. He will be sorely missed. Sending heart-felt condolences to Bud, Kimberlie, Kendalyn, and Karissa, and all the grand nieces and nephews.
