Shawn Preston left a message on November 26, 2021:
Jim was and always will be my pastor. He was an example and light to me throughout my childhood and adult life. He was a great friend. More than that Jim and Darlene both were like grandparents to me, they will always hold a very special place in my life. I can't wait to see them again after we have all shed these mortal bodies. I love the entire family. God bless you Billy, Paulita, Phillip, Kelly, Pam and all the grandkids.
Patti Westfall left a message on November 20, 2021:
My thoughts and prayers are with both families. May you find peace knowing they are rejoicing with their Heavenly Father.
David M. Kitchen left a message on November 19, 2021:
Darlene always treated me as a mother. She fed me, she loved me, she supported me and when needed put me in my place. Lol. A great cook and a great person! Brother Jim was my pastor and my brother. I admired his straightforward honesty and extreme passion for our lord. With his tall stature and deep booming voice he could look and sound very stern, but those that knew him saw his gentleness and felt his compassion and love. I will always cherish the vacation I took in Arizona and the kindness they treated us with. I loved them rattlesnake bites. Heaven's gain and our loss. I love you both dearly and know your patiently waiting for all us to come join you. Thank you so much for feeding me Momma Darlene, and thank you so much for feeding my soul brother Jim. Love you xoxo
