CHARLES A. “Chi” Weber age 95 of Dublin passed away peacefully Monday morning October 8, 2018 at his residence. Born June 23, 1923 in Dublin.
He was the Valedictorian of the 1941 graduating class of Dublin High School. US Marine Corps Captain serving during WW II and Korean War. Member of VFW Post #10691 of Dublin. 33rd Degree Mason and Past Potentate of Aladdin Shrine – 1977. 2004 Grand Leprechaun. Chi was president of the Ohio Federal Savings and Loan and retired from Mid America Federal in 1988 with 36 years of service. He served on the Dublin Board of Education, chairman of the Dublin Charter Commission, president of the Dublin Community Improvement Corporation, member of the Dublin Recreation Advisory Commission and active member with Dublin Historical Society. Longtime member of the Dublin Community Church (United Church of Christ), Dublin.
Preceded in death by his parents: Louis and Katherine (Thomas) Weber; wife of 53 years: Betty J. (Walker) Weber – 2003; sisters: Kathryn Weber, Elizabeth Weber and Mary Lou Wright; brothers: Louis F. Weber, Ward Weber, Mack Weber.
Survived by his loving children: Scott (Nina Webber) Weber, Rich Weber, Lynn Dee (Paul) Sowders, Karen (Spencer) Hardin; grandchildren: Libby Garrett, Aileigh Hardin, Talton Hardin; sister: Jean Kessler.
The family will receive friends 10 – 11:30 AM Saturday, October 13, 2018 prior to the Funeral service at 11:30 AM at Dublin Community Church, 81 W. Bridge St., Dublin, with Rev. Robert Tussing officiating with burial Dublin Cemetery.
